hard to believe that finals are here

meh, i'll manage

[the color of chicken tikka masala]

ever since australia, i've been eating out every day. first day back, had korean food with ben. second day, had lunch at kubik (japanese food--very yum) with lars. that was a bittersweet meal actually...my last time with my first real friend in new zealand! one of the 7 people i plan on keeping in touch with.

today i had lunch with maggie and indian food for the first time since i set foot in the country. it wasn't great but it wasn't bad...it was $5 so i can't complain. we were supposed to study together...we messed around/ate for a good 2 hours, finally started studying at 5, i quit right before 8. pretty good, in my book :D us after hardcorexXx studying...well not really for me i guess.

i'm excited to grab lunch with maggie again, ie buying more food. since i only have 13 days left here and i want to make sure i try everything i wanted to try before i take off. i started a day ago with kubik and a cookie time cookie...which wasn't all that great.

i just had to try it because it's everywhere! check out the cookietime plane monic n i discovered:

anyway. the reefs jo ordered for me came in the other day (thanks!)...and they are OH SO COMFY. it's like walking on marshmallows! i've never invested in quality flip flops before..so these were a blessing.

but you know what...no matter what pair of flipflops i wear, i always have those days where i squeak everytime i walk. it's kind of embarassing sometimes. i guess i've always had squeaky feet...when i was a kid i had those shoes that squeaked every time you stepped. those were so cute and annoyingly cool

oh yeah, i have my first final tomorrow. wish me luck!

+ a band i rediscovered in australia: pinback. so good.
+ found the perfect gift for my dad & monica
+ found my new favorite site...not tellin! :x
+ beanbag theater tomorrow...finally!!
+ *gasp* worked out today ;p
+ korean pancakes tomorrow?!? or kubik again!?
